Uma Lengge building is traditional building in Bima District West Nusa Tenggara which functions as the residence of Mbojo tribe and place to store food. The study aims to analyze the characteristics and relation of Uma Lengge buildings with the social and cultural life of Maria Village. The approach used in this study is archaeological approach with qualitative descriptive method. The study began with collecting data through literature study, direct observation, and interviews. The trapezoidal part of the roof with legs, has two pieces of crossing each other at each end of the ridge with bamboo material. The door leads to Mecca. The front part of the house may not be faced with another houses. Uma Lengge has three main parts such as the foundation, the first floor and second floors. The building of Uma Lengge has links with social values such as the value of mutual cooperation, value of hospitality, value of deliberation, value of helping and cultural values in Ampa Fare ceremony and inter dowry ceremony. Bangunan Uma Lengge merupakan bangunan tradisional di Kabupaten Bima Nusa Tenggara Barat. Bangunan ini berfungsi untuk tempat tinggal masyarakat suku Mbojo sekaligus tempat menyimpan bahan makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik serta keterkaitan bangunan Uma Lengge terhadap kehidupan sosial dan kebudayaan masyarakat Desa Maria. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan arkeologi dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dimulai dengan melakukan pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, pengamatan secara langsung di lapangan, melakukan wawancara untuk data penelitian melalui informan. Diperoleh data pada bagian atap bangunan berbentuk trapesium sama kaki serta memiliki dua buah wanga yang saling menyilang pada setiap ujung bubungan atap dengan bahan bambu. Bagian pintu bangunan arah hadap mengarah ke Mekah, bagian depan bangunan tidak boleh berhadapan dengan bagian depan bangunan di sekitar tetapi bertolak belakang terhadap bangunan lainnya. Bangunan Uma Lengge memiliki tiga bagian utama seperti bagian pondasi, lantai satu dan lantai dua sekaligus atap. Bangunan Uma Lengge memiliki keterkaitan dengan nilai sosial kehidupan masyarakat Maria seperti; nilai gotong royong; nilai silahturrahmi; nilai musyawarah; nilai tolong menolong dan keterkaitan pada nilai kebudayaan dalam kehidupan masyarakat Desa Maria seperti; upacara Ampa Fare dan upacara mengantar mahar.
Etu atau tinju tradisional yang dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Nagekeo merupakan salah satu tahapan dari ritual pasca panen (Gua Meze). Etu dipercaya sebagai ungkapan rasa syukur masyarakat lokal atas berkah dalam panen musim panas dan wujud bagi kaum laki-laki untuk mempresentasikan kembali maskulinitas dirinya melalui Etu. Penelitian di Kampung Adat Tutubhada Desa Rendu Tutubhada Kecamatan Aesesa Selatan Kabupaten Nagekeo dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana representasi maskulinitas seorang laki-laki pada ritual Etu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data disusun berdasarkan studi pustaka penelitian terdahulu, pengamatan di lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumen. Hasil yang dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah penjelasan mengenai rangkaian, pelaku, perlengkapan, dan aturan dari Etu di Kampung Adat Tutubhada, eksistensi Etu di masa kini, serta bagaimana Etu dapat merepresentasikan maskulinitas laki-laki selaku pelaku ritual.‘Etu’, which is a traditional form of ceremonial boxing practiced in Nagekeo Regency, is one stage of the post-harvest rituals Gua Meze. ‘Etu’ is believed to be a form of expression of gratitude offered by the local community for the blessings that have been received in the harvest and at the same time also serves as a form to represent the masculinity. The research which has been conducted in Kampung Adat Tutubhada - which is situated in the village of Rendu Tutubhada in South Aesesa District, Nagekeo Regency - aims to reveal how the masculinity is represented in ‘Etu’. The research used the descriptive qualitative method. Sources of data in the research were compiled based on the literature study of previous research, field observations, interviews, and documents. The results achieved in this study explain in detail 'Etu' in Kampung Adat Tutubhada that includes a sequence of activities, performers, equipment, and rules, the current existence of ‘Etu’ as well as to draw how ‘Etu’ can represent the masculinity of men as the ritual performers.
Surabaya is the capital of East Java Province as well as the center of the Gerbangkertosusila megacities. Surabaya as an urban area with various functions has resulted in urban tourism, one of which is Pakuwon City. Pakuwon City, which is a residential area with various facilities that can be used in general, is also the main attraction for visitors to carry out various tourist activities in Pakuwon City.This research uses quantitative method. The sources of data in this research were compiled based on quantitative and qualitative data types using primary data in the form of observations and questionnaires, as well as secondary data obtained through literature study. The sample used was 37 respondents obtained through accidental sampling from visitors who had visited Pakuwon City. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive, frequency distribution, and spatial models.The result of this research is that Pakuwon City has three pull factors which include high density, concentrating on commercial, financial, industrial and hospital activities, as well as providing artistic and recreational experiences. Eight tourist attractions in Pakuwon City are classified based on their main function as factors that attract visitors to visit Pakuwon City. This pull factor causes the movement of visitors which is dominated by the movement to the tourist attraction Pakuwon Town Square with many activities carried out, namely shopping.
