<p>This paper presents a characterization of an integrated ozone generator constructed by seven of reactors of Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma (DBDP). DBDP a has spiral-cylindrical configuration. Silence plasma produced ozone inside the DBDP reactor was generated by AC-HV with voltage up to 25 kV and maximum frequency of 23 kHz. As a source of ozone, dry air was pumped into the generator and controlled by valves system and a flowmeter. We found ozone concentration increased with the applied voltage, but in contrary, the concentration decreased with the flow rate of dry air. It was also found that a maximum concentration was 20 mg/L and ozone capacity of 48 g/h with an input power of 1.4 kW. Moreover, in this generator, IP efficiency of 8.13 g/kWh was obtained at input power 0.45 kW and air flow rate of 9 L/min. Therefore, be the higher ozone capacity can be produced with higher input power; however, it provided lower IP efficiency. The effect of dry air flow rate and applied voltage on ozone concentrations have been studied. At last, spiral wire copper was very corrosive done to the interaction with ozone, and it is necessary to do a research for finding the best metals as an active electrode inside of the quartz dielectric. Development of ozone technology fish storage system (OTFIS) to maintain the quality of the fish has been done. The ozone technology fish storage system (OTFIS) can be applied in the fishing boat, fish storage in the Fish Auction Market, fish storage in the means transport for fish. In this research, we produced a prototype that was integrated by the fish container and ozone generator. We used Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma (DBDP) technology for ozone generator. The characterization of ozone generator has been carried out and showed that ozone generator can produce ozone concentration from 0.5 ppm to 12 ppm. The ozone concentration in the area is very suitable to be used in food technology. The ozone treatment was performed on red tilapia representing the white-fleshed fish with ozone concentrations from 0.5 ppm to 4.5 ppm. The results of this treatment showed that organoleptic and TVBN of fish were still appropriate with Indonesian National Standard (INS). Beside that, TPC testing has been done on the red tilapia showed that the higher the ozone concentration the smaller the remaining of bacteria colonies. Similarly, for a variable of time, the longer the exposure to ozone the less the remaining of colonies. The results of this study have been adapted to realize of OTFIS with a size of 50 cm x 50 cm x 100 cm (250 liters) and can accommodate as much as 100 kg of fish.

ABSTRAKStudi awal karakteristik arus listrik sebagai fungsi tegangan pada daerah plasma pijar korona untuk perlakuan bahan tekstil telah dilakukan menggunakan reaktor plasma berkonfigurasi multi-titik bidang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membandingkan karakteristik arus-tegangan pada reaktor plasma pijar korona tanpa dan dengan bahan kain tekstil. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengkaji karakteristik arus-tegangan dengan metode input tegangan naik dan tegangan turun. Plasma pijar korona dibangkitkan di antara dua elektroda berkonfigurasi multi-titik bidang menggunakan pembangkit tegangan tinggi DC. Elektroda titik yang digunakan berukuran (5,6 x 4,9) cm 2 dan elektroda bidang berukuran (12 x 12) cm 2 sedangkan kain yang digunakan berukuran (7 x 7) cm 2 . Variasi jarak antara elektroda titik dan bidang adalah 1 cm, 2 cm, 3 cm, dan 4 cm. Tegangan yang digunakan berkisar antara 0 -4 kV dengan pengamatan nilai arus setiap kenaikan 0,2 kV. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa arus cenderung lebih rendah dengan adanya bahan kain tekstil pada rangkaian multi titik-bidang. Nilai arus tertinggi diperoleh pada jarak elektroda 1 cm tanpa kain yaitu sebesar 333,33 µA pada tegangan 1,8 kV dibandingkan dengan adanya kain pada jarak dan tegangan yang sama diperoleh nilai arus sebesar 250 µA. Sedangkan nilai arus terendah diperoleh pada jarak elektroda 4 cm dengan kain yaitu sebesar 50 µA pada tegangan 3,8 kV.Kata kunci: Plasmakorona, multi titik-bidang, perlakuan tekstil, input tegangan naik, input tegangan turun. ABSTRACTCharacteristic of electrical current as function of voltage on corona glow discharge plasma regions for textile treatment has been carried out. The current of increased and decreasedinput voltages were investigated as well. Some experiments were performed without and with textile fabric (polyester) to investigate those characters. A high voltage DC power has been used to generate plasma between two electrodes in aplasma reactor. This reactor consists of multi-point (+) and plane (-configuration electrodes. The sizes of those electrodes are (5.6 x 4.9)cm 2 and(12 x 12)cm 2 for multi-point and plane respectively. The fabrics sizes are about (7 x 7) cm 2 .Observations were depended on the distance between the electrodes, i.e. 1, 2, 3 and 4 cm. Then, the voltage ranging from 0-4 kV was applied to observe electrical current for each increment of 0.2 kV. The experiment with fabric result a lower current than without fabric. The highest current value is 333.33 µA at 1.8 kV obtained for 1 cm electrodes distance and without fabric instead of 250 µA with fabric.
