1The integration of distributed services has been identified as one of the most important challenges of E-business technology. A great deal of progress has been made in the development of methods and techniques for the integration of distributed components but most of the solutions tends to focus on the problem of syntactical and semantical compatibility of the functional services provided or required by the components. Although the non-functional properties of the services are equally important, because of the difficulties in representing and controlling them, they are usually neglected. This paper investigates the problem of non-functional integration and coordination of distributed components and describes a framework that presents a solution to the problem. The framework is based on the idea of defining the non-functional properties of the services at the early stages of the design and incorporating such properties within the architecture of the application so it can ease their management and control at run time.
Particle size is the most important parameter to deal in sediment transport processes. This parameter is important to determine the class of sediment transport in river. It is also important for the selection of site for sand mining operation through the determination of the size of sediment, sediment capacity and sediment replenishment rate. Data were obtained through observations made from two rivers namely Sungai Perak and Sungai Kurau in Malaysia. The rivers were categorized as wide river for Sungai Perak and small river for Sungai Kurau. For Sungai Perak, the width of river ranges from 248.18 to 338.53 meter whilst the width of Sungai Kurau ranges from 9 to 11 meter. Data covers flow discharges from 130.988 m 3 /s to 435.915 m 3 /s for Sungai Perak and from 2.52 m 3 /s to 4.723 m 3 /s for Sungai Kurau. Based on the results, the bed load of two rivers are found to be mostly uniform mixture. The results indicate that these two Malaysian rivers mostly have uniform bed load The bed material for the two rivers are poorly graded mixture and the median size of bed loads mostly ranges from 0.62 to 2.94 mm.
Increased organizational dependence on data warehouse (DW) systems drives management attention towards improving DW systems success. However, the successful implementation rate of DW systems is low and many firms did not achieve intended goals. A recent studies show that improves and evaluates DW success is one of the top concerns facing IT/DW executives. Existing information system (IS) research has studied DW success more from information quality and system quality. Researchers argue in this study that we should also take the relationship quality, which has significant research and practical implications in that it connects to IS success directly. As our first attempt, this study, referring to both IS and marketing literature, examines how communication, coordination, cooperation, commitment, and trust can be achieved to some degrees by high quality relationships between DW parties. data warehouse, relationship quality, success implementation, information system, knowledge management, decisions making, decisions support system.
