Crops are very important to the financial needs of a country. Due to various diseases caused by different pathogens, a large number of crops have been destroyed. As humanoids, our basic need is food for survival, and the most basic foundation of our food is agriculture. For many developing countries, it is mainly an important source of income. Bacterial diseases are one of the main diseases that cause improper production and a major economic crisis for the country. Therefore, it is necessary to detect the disease early. However, it is not easy for humans to analyze the different leaves of plants by themselves when recognizing diseases. In this article, a variety of machine learning methods are used to classify and detect leaf blight. We use the fusion of deep convolutional neural network (CNN) models obtained from SqueezeNet and ShuffleNet to improve the accuracy and robustness of large-scale applications. We use entropy to reduce the complexity of the calculation process and reduce the features in the deep learning process. In addition, we use a support vector machine (SVM) classifier to obtain the classification. We use the CIELAB color space to capture the entire color range to improve accuracy. Our results are very promising because we have achieved 98% accuracy in the early detection of leaf blight.
If Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) patients do not receive quick diagnosis and treatment, they may lose vision. DR, an eye disorder caused by high blood glucose, is becoming more prevalent worldwide. Once early warning signs are detected, the severity of the disease must be validated before choosing the best treatment. In this research, a deep learning network is used to automatically detect and classify DR fundus images depending on severity using AlexNet and Resnet101-based feature extraction. Interconnected layers helps to identify the critical features or characteristics; in addition, Ant Colony systems also help choose the characteristics. Passing these chosen attributes through SVM with multiple kernels yielded the final classification model with promising accuracy. The experiment based on 750 features proves that the proposed approach has achieved an accuracy of 93%.
Human personality assessment using gait pattern recognition is one of the most recent and exciting research domains. Gait is a person's identity that can reflect reliable information about his mood, emotions, and substantial personality traits under scrutiny. This research focuses on recognizing key personality traits, including neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness, in line with the bigfive model of personality. We inferred personality traits based on the gait pattern recognition of individuals utilizing built-in smartphone sensors. For experimentation, we collected a novel dataset of 22 participants using an android application and further segmented it into six data chunks for a critical evaluation. After data pre-processing, we extracted selected features from each data segment and then applied four multiclass machine learning algorithms for training and classifying the dataset corresponding to the users' Big-Five Personality Traits Profiles (BFPT). Experimental results and performance evaluation of the classifiers revealed the efficacy of the proposed scheme for all big-five traits.
