ABSTRAKBerdasarkan hasil analisis dan wawancara yang telah dilakukan, terdapat beberapa masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru-guru SMK Iptek Sanggabuana Karawang selama mengajar pembelajaran jarak jauh sesuai dengan ketetapan pemerintah Indonesia agar mencegah penyebaran virus covid-19. Permasalahan pertama yaitu banyak guru yang masih belum paham mengenai aplikasi pembelajaran yang efektif bagi guru maupun siswa, kemudian yang kedua siswa menjadi kurang tertarik untuk mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran jarak jauh karena keterbatasan penggunaan aplikasi yang tidak bervariatif. Maka dari itu selaras dengan permasalahan yang ada, tujuan pelatihan ini yaitu untuk memudahkan guru-guru SMK Iptek Sanggabuana Karawang dalam penerapan aplikasi pembelajaran khususnya aplikasi edpuzzle yang terintegrasi dengan google classroom. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah dengan metode ceramah dan praktek. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan selama satu hari dan melibatkan 20 guru SMK Iptek Sanggabuana Karawang. Hasil dari pelatihan tersebut yaitu guru-guru menjadi lebih paham untuk menerapkan aplikasi edpuzzle terintegrasi dengan google classroom pada kelas pembelajaran jarak jauh agar lebih efektif, serta siswa pun tertarik dan lebih semangat selama proses pembelajaran karena aplikasi yang digunakan lebih bervariatif, dan interaktif. ABSTRACTBased on the results of the analysis and interviews that have been carried out, there are several problems faced by teachers of SMK Iptek Sanggabuana Karawang during teaching distance learning in accordance with the provisions of the Indonesian government in order to prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus. The first problem is that many teachers still do not understand about effective learning applications for teachers and students, then the second is students become less interested in participating in distance learning activities because of the limitations of using applications that are not varied. Therefore, in line with the existing problems, the purpose of this training is to make it easier for teachers of SMK Iptek Sanggabuana Karawang in implementing learning applications, especially the edpuzzle application which is integrated with google classroom. The method used in this workshop is the lecture method and practice. The training activity was carried out in one day and involved 20 teachers of SMK Iptek Sanggabuana Karawang. The results of the workshop were that teachers became more understand to implementing the edpuzzle application integrated with Google Classroom in distance learning classes to be more effective, and students were interested and more enthusiastic during the learning process because the applications used were more varied, and interactive. Writing is one of the skills that must be possessed by students when learning English. It is one way of expressing ideas, feelings, thoughts, even arguments and knowledge into a piece of paper. Descriptive text is a text which purpose is to describe someone, a place, or something. Students considered writing descriptive text is difficult to do because it is done in English which is a foreign language for them. This research aimed to understand students’ difficulty in writing descriptive text and the causes. This research was using the narrative inquiry method in one of Junior High School in Karawang with a total of five eight-grade students as the participants. The data was collected through a structured personal interview with an interview guideline as the instruments and analyzed based on Miles & Huberman (1994): data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion/verification. The findings showed that one of the biggest factors causes students to have difficulty in writing descriptive text is their dislike of the English language itself and even though the students know about writing descriptive in general, it doesn't make them want to learn about it. Also, there are several difficulties that the students face when they are asked to write descriptive texts such as they do not understand grammar, they have very little vocabulary, they do not know the meaning of each vocabulary, and they have difficulty constructing sentences when write descriptive text which cause by their dislike on learning English, teaching techniques that make them bored, feeling lazy in learning grammar and vocabulary, and difficulty in reading and translating vocabulary due to lack of vocabulary they have.

Miftahul Huda Tegalwaru-Karawang, terdapat masalah pokok yang dialami oleh sekolah ini, yakni berupa masalah dalam teknis pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran dimasa pandemi covid-19. Hal ini dikarenakan belum siapnya Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ). Banyak guru yang bertugas di MTs Miftahul Huda masih kurang melek pemanfaatan teknologi khususnya dalam pemanfaatn website Youtube sebagai media pembelajara untuk pembelajaran jarak jauh. Maka dari itu, pemecahan masalah tersebut sejalan dengan tujuan pelatihan ini, yakni memudahkan guru-guru MTsS. Miftahul Huda dalam proses pembelajaran Jarak Jauh dengan pemanfaatan teknologi khususnya penggunaan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom Instruction. Flipped Classroom merupakan proses pembelajaran yang didalamnya terdapat video dari pengajar atau berbasis online (youtube) berisikan materi pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini ialah metode ceramah dan praktikum. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan selama satu hari dan melibatkan 30 guru MTsS. Miftahul Huda Tegalwaru Karawang. Hasil dari pelatihan tersebut, sekitar 80% guru-guru MTs. Miftahul Huda menjadi lebih mengetahui model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan secara jarak jauh dengan pemanfaatan teknologi, yakni pemanfaatn website Youtube sebagai media pembelajaran dalam model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom dan bisa diasumsikan model pembelajaran tersebut efektif digunakan pada masa pandemic covid-19 ini. Miftahul Huda Tegalwaru-Karawang, there are main problems experienced by this school, namely problems in the technical implementation of the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is because of distance teaching and learning are not ready yet. Many teachers are still less literate in the technology used for distance teaching and learning process. Therefore, the problem solving is in line with the purpose of this training, which is to facilitate MTsS. Miftahul Huda teachers in the distance teaching and learning process by utilizing technology, especially the use of the Flipped Classroom Instruction learning model. Flipped Classroom is a learning process in which there are videos from teachers or online-based (youtube.com) containing learning materials. The methods used in this training are lecture and practicum methods. The training activity was carried out for one day and involved 30 teachers of MTsS. Miftahul Huda Tegalwaru Karawang. As a result of the training, around 80% of teachers of MTs. Miftahul Huda became more aware of the learning model that can be used remotely with the use of technology, namely the use of the Youtube website as a learning medium in the Flipped Classroom learning model and also it can be assumed that the learning model is effectively used during this COVID-19 pandemic.
