This paper introduces analysis for the performance of voltage source inverter fed from wind energy system. The inverter is used to control the voltage and frequency of an induction motor, so that its speed can be controlled. A selfexcited induction generator is used to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy, as it has many advantages in terms of ease of maintenance, self-protection against short circuits, and it is preferable in the isolated systems. Finally, simulation and experimental results for different operating points are displayed which are consistent with the expected results.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
