Hintergrund ▼ Medizinische Rehabilitation stellt einen wichtigen Pfeiler im deutschen Gesundheitswesen dar. Anders als in andern Ländern findet die Versorgung überwiegend stationär in einem engen Zeitfenster von nur 3 Wochen statt. Für die Wirksamkeit dieser Form der Rehabilitation gibt es bisher so gut wie keine belastbare Evidenz in Form von randomisierten, kontrollierten Studien (RCTs), in denen Rehabilitation mit der Bedingung "keine Rehabilitation" (d. h. übliche haus-und fachärztliche Behandlung am Wohnort) vergleichen wird [1]. In seinem aktuellen Gutachten hat der Sachverständigenrat zur Begutachtung der Entwicklung im Gesundheitswesen die mangelnde Zusammenfassung ▼ Ziel der Studie: Ziel der Arbeit war es, die internationale Praxis hinsichtlich routinemäßiger Erhebungen langfristiger Katamnesedaten in der Rehabilitation zu beschreiben. Methodik: Es wurde eine systematische Literaturrecherche in Medline durchgeführt. Außerdem wurden 117 internationale Fachgesellschaften per E-Mail angeschrieben und darum gebeten, uns Informationen bezüglich routinemäßiger Katamneseerhebungen in der Rehabilitation zur Verfü-gung zu stellen. Ergebnisse: Durch die Literaturrecherche und die Hinweise der Fachgesellschaften konnten insgesamt 10 internationale Institutionen bzw. Register ermittelt werden, die routinemäßig langfristige Katamnesedaten von Rehabilitanden sammeln und auswerten. Schlussfolgerung: Die routinemäßige Erhebung von Daten zur (langfristigen) Ergebnisqualität der Rehabilitation in Deutschland könnte durch die Etablierung von Reha-Registern geför-dert werden. Solche Reha-Register bieten u. a. den Vorteil, dass sie Einrichtungsvergleiche ermöglichen. Außerdem könnten mit entsprechend umfangreichen Registerdatensätzen gezielte Forschungsfragen zur (nachhaltigen) Wirksamkeit und Effizienz der rehabilitativen Versorgung untersucht werden. Abstract ▼
