Possibility of heated petroleum application with various additives addition as solvents for asphaltene-resin-paraffin deposits was analyzed. An object of this investigation was chosen petroleum selected from tank farm of the Kazakhstan oil refinery and samples of bottom sediments (ARPD) formed during storage in tanks. Deposits type in line with ARPD classification was identified. Additives impact on petroleum capacity in relation to ARPD was investigated. The most effective additives to inhibiting and removing bottom settlings formed in petroleum storage tanks were determined.
The aim of this research was to develop the technology of new composite material synthesis for the processing of natural gas methane into olefins. The effects of technological parameters (temperature, volumetric rate, reaction mixture composition) on methane's oxidative conversion into important petrochemical products has been studied. The paper presents data on methods developed for synthesis and physicochemical characteristics of catalysts. The technological parameters of the process conducted by means of integrated automated laboratory setup were optimized. It has been established that 10% K-30% Mn-10% Nb/50% glycine catalyst prepared by the solution combustion synthesis (SHS) method in solution was active for olefin formation at oxidative transformation of mixture 41.8% CH 4 +16.2% O 2 +42% Ar at a volumetric velocity of 3500 h -1 . It was determined that at T=800°С, yields of C 2 H 6 and C 2 H 4 were 3.3 and 14.3%, respectively.
Solid waste management is one of the main problems in large cities. The determination of the quantitative and qualitative composition of municipal solid waste is necessary for proper planning in the processing of such waste. This article presents the results of studies of the morphological composition, physico-chemical parameters and energetical potential of municipal solid waste (MSW) from the landfill of the city of Shymkent. Waste samples were taken from 10 different points of the landfill. The volume–mass parameters of the samples and their average density were determined. The combined waste samples mainly consisted of food waste, paper and cardboard, polymers and plastic, glass, metal, textiles, wood, leather, bones and rubber. Most of the waste, more than 30%, contains plastic products. The moisture of the combustible fraction of the samples is low and varies from 0.3% to 2.3%. The average ash content of the combustible fraction of the samples was determined and its average value is 18.4%. The yield of the volatile substances was determined and the average value per dry state is 78.7%. To determine the energetical potential of municipal solid waste, the gross calorific value was determined and the net calorific value was calculated, the average value of which is 24.15 MJ/kg. This shows the possibility of using solid waste as an energy source.
