По данным Камчатского филиала Федерального исследовательского центра «Единая геофизическая служба Российской академии наук» (КФ ФИЦ ЕГС РАН) эпицентр землетрясения 13.10.2018 г. располагался в ≈320 км к западу от г. Петропавловска-Камчатского и в ≈160 км от ближайшего населенного пунктапос. Октябрьского. Сильные глубокие событиядовольно редкое явление и вызывают повышенный интерес у исследователей, поскольку физика таких событий до сих пор остается дискуссионным вопросом. Рассматриваемое землетрясение произошло в южной части очаговой зоны сильнейшего глубокого Охотоморского землетрясения 24.05.2013 г. c M W = 8.3 (рис. 1), и представляет интерес не только само по себе, но и как часть процесса активизации этой зоны, которая началась с сильного землетрясения 05.07.2008 г., M W = 7.7. Вероятно, глубокие землетрясения 2008 г., произошедшие в этой зоне, можно рассматривать как удаленные форшоки Охотоморского сильнейшего события 24.05.2013 г., а землетрясение 13.10.2018 г.-удаленным афтершоком. Вопрос о том, можно ли считать очаговые процессы Охотоморского землетрясения завершенными, остается открытым. В данной работе представлены оригинальные данные, полученные в КФ ФИЦ ЕГС РАН по результатам комплексной обработки записей землетрясения, произошедшего 13.10.2018 г. Сейсмологические наблюдения в КФ ФИЦ ЕГС РАН проводятся с использованием записей сейсмических станций Дальнего Востока, включая станции глобальной сети GSN (Global Seismographic Network, IRIS), установленных на территории России, Японии, США и Южной Кореи.
