The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of alcohol use and alcohol-related problems among medical students. A comparative analysis of the dynamics of alcohol consumption over the past 10 years among medical students showed a significant reduction in the proportion of cases of a sober lifestyle by 5.9% (p<0.025) among junior students due to the increase among them girls UA in low-risk mode by 4.5%, as well as in dangerous and harmful modes by 1.4% (χ 2 =7.771; p<0.05 at df=2), due to a sharp, more than 2-fold, increasing the amount of recognized one-time and monthly consumption of ethanol by them. The data obtained indicate the importance of constant monitoring of alcohol consumption by young people and the promotion of a sober lifestyle starting from children of the 3rd age group (schoolchildren 11-14 years old) with the active involvement of parents, teachers, coaches, and clergy in this process.
