We investigate the optimal combination of power control and successive interference cancellation to yield performance gains in a multi-floor indoor DS-CDMA system. Using measured indoor propagation data and a Monte Carlo simulation, it is shown that the performance gains achieved are significantly influenced by the base station deployment strategy chosen.
