Abstract. The current status and future development of the WideField Plate Database, which is in preparation at the Institute of Astronomy in Sofia, are described. The database will be centralized and will provide on-line access to the information on about 2 million photographic observations.
New results from long-term optical photometric observations of the pre-main sequence star GM Cep from UX Orionis type are reported. During ongoing photometric monitoring of the GM Cep four deep minimums in brightness are observed. The collected multicolour photometric data shows the typical of UXor variables colour reversal during the minimums in brightness. Recent BV RI photometric observations of GM Cep have been collected from November 2014 to October 2020.
Results from photographic and CCD photometric observations of the pre‐main sequence star V 350 Cep are presented. A continued gradual rise of brightness resembling the light curves of the FUOR type stars is observed. A search in the WFPDB was made to find old photographic observations of V 350 Cep.
The contemporary state of the Schmidt/Maksutov telescope plate archives and their unification in an Index Plate Catalogue as part of the Wide Field Plate Database is presented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
