An approach to modeling a gear pair is described and the results of studies of the distribution of contact stresses along the line of teeth engagement are presented. The analysis of the differences in the operation of gearing during traditional surface treatment and after nitriding using the BATR process is presented. A significant decrease in contact stresses during the interaction of gears hardened in this way is shown.
Modeling is carried out, based on artificial intelligence approaches — neural networks, of the mechanical characteristics of steel 35KhM over the entire cross section of forgings. The anisotropy of the mechanical properties of steel is evaluated in various parts: edge, 1/2 and center of the workpiece. The influence of the microstructure being formed on the strength characteristics of steel is established.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
