The impedance operator technique for calculation of propagation and reflection of electromagnetic waves in complicated anisotropic channels with non-parallel boundaries is described. The transmitted wavefield is derived from the incident one with the help of transmission operators written in covariant free-coordinate form.
The impedance operator technique is applied for investigation of the complicated systems consisting of anisotropic prisms cut from electro-optic crystals. All steps of computer simulations of transmitted characteristics of a system with a large number of non-parallel boundaries are considered. The possibility of profitable application of the calculated device as a resonator modulator of radiation in wide spectral and temperature ranges is shown.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
