Promoter and enhancer activities are regulated by the interaction of numerous site-specific DNA-binding proteins with their recognition sequences (reviewed in references 24 and 42). We are studying the nuclear factor I (NFI) family of site-specific DNA-binding proteins, which play a role in both transcriptional regulation (5,35,45,49) and adenovirus DNA replication (38,39,44,52).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
