This paper presents a complete experimental lowcost downlink setup for the transmission of QPSK-COFDM signal over standard graded index multimode fiber. Moreover, many parameters are assessed in detail such as the effect of the fiber lengths, RMS delay spread, link gain, noise figure and AM-AM/AM-PM to investigate the link performance. This experimental work has been carried out in frequency and time domains. It has been observed that the frequency selectivity becomes significant with increasing the length of the MMF. This reveals the need for COFDM.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
