Covid-19 has changed the conditions of education process and has caused rapid transition to distance learning, which in its turn stimulated teachers of a second foreign language to search for effective methods of teaching undergraduate students. The purpose of the article is to identify the possibilities of integrating an online course with electronic educational resources adapted for teaching a second foreign language at South Ural State University and analyze its effectiveness. The post-course survey, questionnaire and the method of mathematical statistics were used. The results of the survey confirm the effectiveness of the presented online course used in combination with digital technologies. Further research is needed to find the ways to enrich the course assignments; to identify additional digital tools to work with the electronic educational environment.
