Ein sehr reiches Beobachtungsmaterial verschiedener Formen yon progressiver Muskelatrophie~ welches mir yon Herrn Prof. Lichtheim zur Verftigung gestellt wurde~ gab Veranlassung, die Frage nach den anatomischen Vorg~ngen in den erkrankten Muskeln einer erneuten Untersuchung zu unterwerfen. Da die ganze Lehre yon der progressiven Muskelatrophie and insbesondere Yon den juvenilen Formen derselben in dieser Zeitschrift vor Kurzem bereits eine sehr eingehende und griindliche Bespreehunff durch Erb t) erfahren hat, so verzichte ich darauf, bier noehmals in eine historisehe Besprechung dieser Lehre einzugehen, und wende reich sofort zu den yon mir selbst gemachten Beobaehtungen. Die klinischen Krankengeschichten der yon mir untersuchten F~ille sind folgende. I. Karl Kiepert. 33 Jahre. Besitzer. 17. Juni 1883. A n a m n e s e. Mutter und Vater des Pat. starben an Lungenleiden. Pat. hat in seinem Leben bisher ziemlich viel gehustet und griin-weissliehen~ iifters blutig verfiirbten Sehleim ausgeworfen. Als ganz kleines Kind ist Pat. einmal fast erfroren. Spitter hat Pat. Masern und Kriitze gehabt und hat sich dann bis zu seinem 14. Lebensjahre ziemlich gesund gefilhlt~ wenn er auch stets sehwiiehlich gewesen ist und keine grossen Anstrengungen vertragen konnte. In seinem 14. Lebensjahre stellten sieh die ersten Erseheinungen seines jetzigen Leidens ein. Wenn Pat. den OberkSrper tier zur Erde neigte~ war er nicht im Stande, sieh wieder aufzuriehten~ sondern vermoehte nur dureh 57aehhelfen mit beiden Hiinden~ die an den Oberschenkeln emporgriffen~ seine normale KSrperhaltung wiederzuerlangen.
