Opportunities of quasi-slanted transducers (QST) can be extended using a discrete apodization (overlap weighting) of electrodes, which doesn't enlarge SAW diffraction effect because the breaks of electrodes are placed only in the interconnection regions between acoustic channels, so that each channel is unapodized. An algorithm of optimization of the discrete apodization in QSTs is described here. An improvement of SAW filter selectivity due to the discrete apodization of QSTs is demonstrated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
