In a comparative study of naftidrofuryl and another product, in both cases using the accepted dosage for the treatment of patients suffering from peripheral vascular disorders, we found that naftidrofuryl was more efficacious than the control product. Both naftidrofuryl and the control had only minor side effects, but the occurrence of urticaria and angioneurotic oedema after administration of the control indicated the possibility of sensitivity reactions.Biochemical tests, blood pressure readings, urine and blood tests indicated no damage to the liver, blood or metabolism in those treated with naftidrofuryl.
