RESUMOObjetivou-se identificar uma possível influência alelopática das sementes de Leucaena leococephala no estabelecimento de plântulas de feijão fava. As sementes da espécie florestal foram colhidas na cidade de Serra Talhada -PE. Foram utilizadas a partir do extrato bruto (100%) as diluições de 10; 25; 50 e 75%, além do controle (água destilada). Foi utilizado o delineamento estatístico inteiramente casualizado (DIC) com seis tratamentos e cinco repetições. Os dados foram sujeitos à análise de variância (teste F), quando verificada diferença significativa empregouse a análise de regressão. Foram avaliados parâmetros relacionados à emergência e ao estabelecimento das plântulas. As distintas diluições do extrato aquoso de sementes de leucena não interferiram na formação de plântulas normais de feijão fava, já com relação à velocidade do processo de emergência houve redução com o acréscimo das diluições. Na medida em que houve o acréscimo das diluições, ocorreu redução no tamanho e na matéria seca das plântulas. Logo, não é recomendado a utilização dessas duas espécies em um programa de sistema agroflorestal.
