In present paper the experimental results for controlling of the stimulated backscattering absolute parametric decay instability (PDI) in inhomogeneous plasma by frequency modulation of pump wave are presented. The case of so called slow frequency modulation is under investigation, when the modulation speed is comparable with daughter ion-sound wave transient time in decay region. The PDI stimulation was observed in experiment at stochastic frequency modulation with enough large correlation time. The dynamics of PDI for stochastic and harmonic modulation was investigated as well. The comparison of obtained results shows the resonance nature of the PDI stimulation. The stimulation is observed when the direction and velocity of decay point moving in plasma are coincides with daughter ion-sound wave ones and the significant PDI enhancement becomes possible due to the effect of resonant suppression of the convective losses from the moving decay region.
