A series of 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives (1a-g) were prepared from Hantzsch syntheses. The compounds 1a-g were reacted with thiosemicarbazide to give the new series of compounds 2a-g. IR, 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR, mass spectral and elemental analysis confirmed the synthesized compounds. The synthesized compounds were also screened for their antimicrobial activity.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
