Agricultural machinery is operated in difficult conditions and severe environment. Due to contact with road surfaces, soil, plants, fuels and lubricants, as well as fertilizers and pesticides, when changing temperature conditions and under the influence of a number of other factors, surfaces of agricultural machinery become old and corroded, which reduces their performance and worsens some of its parameters. Most agricultural machines are operated from 10-15 to 55-60 days during the year, and for the remaining time, they are subject to high-quality storage. During long-term storage, the dimensions of parts change due to corrosion, as well as the quality of their material decreases due to structural transformations and residual deformations caused by the machine’s own weight. Efficiency and its service life can increase by 10-15% due to the application of a protective coating on the surface of agricultural machines, which reduces the influence of external factors on their safety. The use of a developed spray gun in the design of a hydraulic installation for applying a protective coating on the surface of agricultural machinery allows one to reduce unit costs by 13.8% and electricity costs by 12.3%. The economic effect of using a hydraulic coating system with the developed spray gun will amount to 75,539.3 rubles per year when processing 124.9 m2 of agricultural machinery surface.
A decrease in the diameter of a droplet of a protective coating stream occurs in cases of a decrease in the diameter of the nozzle, an increase in the volumetric flow rate and the lower surface tension coefficient. To study the effect of droplet sizes on the quality of the protective coating, the conditions for obtaining droplets of different diameters were determined. During the experiment, it was found that the most significant parameters were those of the nozzle and the operating pressure of the installation. The change of these parameters caused the change of the size of the material droplets. To do this, replaceable nozzles with various diameters were installed and the supply pressure was also regulated.
When mechanized potato harvesting, about 20-40% of tubers get bruised. As a result of damage to tubers during transportation in dump trucks, the loss of carbohydrates increases by 2.5...3 times compared to transportation in containers, and the loss of vitamin C increases by about 10%. Therefore, it is important to assess the quality of potato tubers before laying for long-term storage, which will reduce potato losses. Currently, destructive and non-destructive methods are used to assess the quality of potato tubers. In the first case, the tested tubers are cut into slices to detect damage or are cleaned with the removal of a certain layer thickness. In the second case, the tubers remain intact. Non-destructive methods for determining damage are the most common, since they make it possible to automate the processes of sorting tubers. These methods are based on the optical, x-ray, acoustic, electrical and thermal properties of potato tubers. The disadvantage of these methods is that they quantify damage to tubers, but do not give a qualitative assessment. It should be noted that the detection of external injuries is effectively carried out using optical systems, the establishment of internal injuries is difficult due to the concealment of bruises under the relatively intact surface of the tuber. When stored for a long time, internal damage is an additional cause of loss of nutrients and spoilage of potatoes. Thus, a rolling tuber has a greater kinetic energy compared to a sliding tuber. Therefore, an overload device is used to extinguish the kinetic energy.Graph 7 shows that the tuber gradually slows down as it moves through the reloading device. As the angle of the reloading device decreases, the tuber speed will decrease. At the set speed of the tuber, the angle of inclination will be 27 degrees, the number of rollers is 16.
In the process of operation and storage of agricultural machinery is influenced by factors, including: ultraviolet rays, condensate, temperature changes, various chemicals from fertilizers, etc., most of which leads to corrosion of the metal. All these factors adversely affect the technical condition of the equipment and lead to failures and, accordingly, not working condition. For example, a potato harvester is affected by the friction of the earth on the surface and the ingress of moisture on it, which damages the surface and leads to corrosion. Agricultural machinery should be protected and treated to prevent or reduce corrosion. Next, consider modern anticorrosive technologies and protective materials. In anticorrosion practice, special protective coatings are used to isolate the metal from the effects of aggressive media. All of them are divided into metal and nonmetal. Metal anode and cathode coatings are applied on the surface by methods of thermal spraying, dipping, galvanizing, cladding or diffusion. Nonmetallic coatings are divided into organic and inorganic. They create a thin film on the treated surfaces, inert with respect to aggressive substances, which protects the parts from the negative effects of the environment. At present, there are many technologies and materials for the protection of equipment to protect surfaces, which differ in the quality of processing, price and service life. For each surface and details of agricultural machinery, you can choose your technology and material for corrosion protection.
