An extended analysis of the conventional Rose-Fowler-Vaisberg theory shows that the product of the maximum conductivity and the time of its occurrence (yrmtm) may serve as a criterion of the validity of Langevin's mechanism of bimolecular recombination. It is proved that in PET and PS this mechanism is operative, while in LDPE it is only marginal and in PTFE its application is highly questionable.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
