A rotating inlet system was constructed in order to combine the rotating disc technique with on line mass spectrometry. The quantitative correlation between the Faradaic current by which a species is formed and the ion current at the detector of the mass spectrometer is used to calculate collection efficiencies on two different types of electrodes and for different types of reactions. On the basis of these results transport to and from and inside the porous catalyst layer is discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
