Distribution of technogenic radionuclides in the landscape of the Berezovyi Isl. (Yenisei River) is studied. The observed variations in the density of radioactive contamination are associated with nonuniform lithologic composition of soil-forming rocks and also with different duration of the flooding periods. Radionuclide distribution in alluvial sediments and among fractions of the soil in the region of the Balchug settlement is analyzed, making emphasis on the contribution of the clay fraction to accumulation of radionuclides.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
