ABSZ'ZACT In this paper the problem of synthesizing the decentralized gains for linear interconnected dynamical systems that achieve a prescribed spectrum of eigenvalues for the composite system is considered.Indirect adaptive control scheme is presented for assigning the composite closed-loop poles. The global problem is decomposed into several lower order sub problems at the subsystem level. Each subcontroller receives information from other subsystems for identification purposes. The identificationscheme used is a recursive least-squares based on a priori estimation. The proposed procedure results in a reasonably bounded feedback matrices and a robust assigned spectrum. continurtion rpprorch to cigeaVdl= PS8igt"b" "Qu8litative rorlypir and decaltrdimil cOnttOUct A~t h~m n t i a , vd. 27, 1991, pp. 383-388.Prediction, d coatrd.
