A multi model strategy for predictive control using neural networks A basic problem for model based predictive control is the Identification of a suitable plant model. Especially for intricated nonlinear systems, it is reasonable to use neural networks as a convenient tool for system Identification. It has been stressed that neural networks are capable ofadapting on-line to changing plant parameters but this is involved with considerable difficulties to define a fast and stable adaptation law, at least for common feed-forwardnetworks. Therefore, this hasprevented the scheme from widespread use. To avoid some of these Problems we suggest a multi model strategy for system Iden-tification combined with an adaptive receding horizon Controller. In this paper we present the algorithm and demonstrate its main features by an example.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
