The relevance of this article is due to the global processes taking place in the modern economy and changes in the regulatory and legal framework in the field of education, among them the adoption of a new professional standard for the educator. The transition of the sphere of education to a market system of management made it possible to apply economic characteristics and terms to it, one of which is competitiveness. In this case, the main difficulty is the lack of a unified understanding of the nature and characteristics of the considered key quality, which makes difficult the process of formation, development and evaluation. In the presented work, results of the analysis of phenomenon competitiveness are stated. During the research, existing definitions were divided into groups, depending on the degree of concretization of the quality in question. In this paper, much attention was devoted to the study of the essential characteristics of the competitiveness of the individual (including the teacher) and their relationship to the components of other integrative qualities of the individual. The practical value of such research is due to the possibility of increasing the overall level of competitiveness by influencing the qualities of the individual that are determining in the professional activity of the teacher.
In this paper the problem of the need for changes in the methodology of teaching school course disciplines with the aim of preserving and developing creativity of the individual as socially useful quality is raised. The necessity is justified by global changes taking place in the society and uncertainty is generated by the situation. In these conditions the need of the society and the labor market in the creative person who is capable to make non-standard decisions in the emerging crisis situations is increasing. The program of development creativity of personality of students is offered by composite authors as one of the tools for the conservation and development of the creative personality traits. This program has been integrated into the discipline "Ancient World History". The integration the program of development creativity with the discipline of a school course of history allows to meet the challenges of the development of creativity successfully without increasing the burden on students. The efficacy shown in the article of the program is confirmed by a positive effect on a number of indicators which determine the creativity of schoolchildren revealed in the course of monitoring.
