Miodla indyjska (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) jest cenioną rośliną leczniczą, występującą w tropikalnych i subtropikalnych regionach świata. Drzewo to jest od stuleci wykorzystywane w medycynie, kosmetologii oraz w ochronie roślin. Zawiera wiele cennych substancji czynnych o właściwościach: przeciwdrobnoustrojowych, przeciwgorączkowych, przeciwutleniających, immunostymulujących i przeciwzapalnych. Jednak wiedza o miodli indyjskiej w Polsce jest niewielka, dlatego też celem pracy było podsumowanie istniejących już informacji o wła-ściwościach prozdrowotnych tego gatunku.
