Inclusive KOIKO, A O, and xo cross sections have been determined using a 292-eventlmb exposure o f the hydrogen-filled 15-foot bubble chamber at Fermilab. From the invariant-mass distributions of Voa* pairs wefind that a(K**(890)) = 4.4 += 1.4 m~aCC**(1385)) = 0.54 * 0.40 mb, and oQ**(1385)) = 0.45 + 0.34 mb. It is estimated that 0.32 * 0.11 o f K O I K~'~, 0.21 * 0.16 o f A's, and 0.96 * 0.75 of A's originate from decays of Ka(890) and Za(1385), respectively.

L. Berger, Phys. Rev. 166, 1525.6~t is easy to believe that an assignment based on meaningless criteria, e.g., the frame number, will produce identical distributions for the accepted and rejected hypotheses. The converse need not be true. For a given variable, such as the laboratory momentum, both the correct and incorrect hypotheses may produce identical distributions. It would be surprising if this were true for the distributions in all variables. here a r e 80 events in Group I1 for which both hypotheses have the K'n-mass combination in the K *(890) mass region and 185 events without a K *(890) in either hypothesis, P I I Y S I C A L R E V I E Total and differential cross sections for IT-p elastic scattering are presented at 35 energies between 1400 and 2000 MeV.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
