Summaru.-Authors draw up the actual distribution map with dots in the Capcir sector. They one put dawn to the actual extension of this composite flower to the termination of pastoral practicis ; the analysis of floristic arangements enables one to determine upon the active penetration of the spccies in different hygrophile or mesohygrophile communities.
Vegetation and forms of the high northern slopes of the Sierra Nevada (southern Spain).
Thanks to a close collaboration between geomorphologist and botanist, three types of forms have been studied in three types of environments. In the borreguils or hygrophile high-altitude grass-land shallow basins rising in tiers and humus-containing sheets of fallen earth genetically linked, are to be found. In this case, the biological processes are far more important than the mechanical processes. But they are residual forms now out of place under the general climate of the Sierra. The slopes of the lomas are occupied by strips of juniper-trees and grass-bordered banks.
Both mineral and plants contribute to morphogenesis. Juniperus nana or Festuca indigesta give linear emphasis to the original irregularities of the slope and make the cryoplanation of intermediary banks possible. Those are always wind-swept slopes, subjected to frost action in the cold season.
All the forms which have been studied reveal how predominant the local ecological conditions are.
On the contrary the screes of the highest slopes are inherited forms now stabilised.
