The companies today must control their production system in a precise way. Thus the installation of Performance Indicator System (PIS) spreads. The PIS is used as tool for piloting in coherence with the total objectives of the system. Our objective, through this communication is the development of PIS within a company and more particularly the department of safety. The basic tool for the development oftho PIS Is method ECOGRAI The modelling of the system studied will be done according to a "downward" approach making it possible to break up the objectives of the strategic levels into objectives Of the tactical and operational levels. As for the establishment of the PI we will use data-processing tools of type EIS (Executive Information System). NTRODUCTIONThe improvement of the performances of s Production System (SP) in order to release more richness is a constant concem for any decision maker. These systems today must be directed in an increasingly fine way in order to continuously improve their performances, mainly in the fields of cost, allowed time, the products quality, even of the system reactivity or flexibility. Traditional tools for management show mote and more their limits on the level of the evaluation and the piloting of technico-economic performances of SP. Thus, several university laboratories propose Systems of Performance out by the ECOGRAI method. Software allowing the implementation of the PIS on SONATRACH information system is the subject of another paper. Thus we have a dynamic progress generalised and coherent.The control of the performance [2] consists to identi@ and characterise the total objectives and to break up them into elementary objectives.The indicators reflect the system performance and contribute ta reach the reactivity required by the technico-Indicators (PIS) design methods. The main application of these methods are related to manufacturing industries. It seemed to us interesting to engage a similar step on the level of the safety service of an Algerian company. our choice it is related to SONATRACH Company of Hassi Touil (Hassi Messaoud) in order to be able to carry out this control, we estimate the following:To have a coherent system of objectives, which contributes to reach the global performance of the company The ability of acting on Decision Variables (DV) adapted to make evolve the performance of the system to the definite objectives.To have a coherent PIS with the system of objectives and DV in order to be able to permanently evaluate "the state" of the desired performance.Thus, the first part of our task consisted on analysing the system to be studied known as SONA...
