Magneso-silicate (MgSi) as an inorganic ion exchange material was synthesized by a precipitation technique. Then, the MgSi was impregnated into polyacrylamide acrylic acid and its composites (Poly) by condensation polymerization. To study the effect of γ-radiation, the polyacrylamide acrylic acid and its MgSi samples were synthesized using γ-irradiating systems at 25, 65 and 90 kGy. The variations in the radiation dose and amorphous structure were altered and confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Moreover, the absorbance and band-gap energy were enhanced by inserting MgSi into the polymeric composites (Poly). Furthermore, variations in temperature with dielectric constant, dielectric loss and conductivity of the samples at various frequencies from 100, 500, 1000, 2000 to 4000 Hz have been explained.

Sorption behavior of some lanthanide ions such as lanthanum and samarium ions on polyacrylamide stannic molybdophosphate {PASnMoP} as organic-inorganic composite has been investigated. ions on polyacrylamide stannic molybdophosphate was conducted. The adsorption isotherms were described by means of Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms for La 3? and Sm 3? ions. The Langmuir model represented the adsorption process better than the Freundlich model. The kinetic data were tested using Logergren-first-order and Pseudosecond-order kinetic models. The data correlated well with the Pseudo-second-order kinetic model, indicating that the chemical adsorption was the rate limiting step. Thermodynamic parameters DG°, DH°and DS°were also calculated and the data showed that the ion exchange of La 3?and Sm 3? ions on PASnMoP was spontaneous and endothermic in nature.
