Constrain of the peatland development is the low nutrient content that is required by plant. This research aims to evaluate the dynamics of nutrients in peat soil due to the application of OP-EFB biochar as well as nitrogen and potassium fertilization. The research design using Randomized Complete Design (CRD) with three factors and three replicates. First factor consists of 0.0; 7.5; and 15.0 t/ha biochar. Second factor consists of 0; 30; and 60 kg/ha nitrogen. The third factor consist of 0; 225; 450 kg/ha kalium. The results showed that the leached N nutrients decreased significantly in line with increasing biochar dose, on the contrary the leaching of P, K, and Mg nutrients increased significantly with increasing dose of biochar, N fertilizer and K fertilizer. The leached N, P, K, and Mg nutrients had the same pattern, i.e. fewer and fewer nutrients were leached in line with the increasing time (intensity) of washing. Nutrient concentrations of N, P, K, and Mg were leached following the K>N>Mg>P series for all treatments.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
