Im alkalischen Gebiet wird das Absinken der zweielektronigen Stufe auf die Hälfte von einem Maximum 2. Art überdeckt. Dennoch läßt sich das Gleichgewicht zwischen Campherchinon und seiner farblosen Alkaliform vergleichsweise zu den Absorptionsmessungen bestimmen und zusammen mit den Ergebnissen von Modiano diskutieren.
