In this work, the development and utilization of a Prussian blue/conducting polymer composite electrode has been investigated. The introduction of a layer of conducting polymer (polypyrrole) enhanced the electroactivity of the outer Prussian blue film. This has been used for improved signal generation for the redox protein cytochrome c. The effect of the thickness of these two film coatings and buffer solution pH has been investigated. The analytical utility has been demonstrated using flow injection analysis.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
