Preparation and Properties of (4H-Pyran-4-yl)diphenylphosphine Oxides. -The pyrylium salts (II) are coupled with the diphenylphosphinite (I) to give the pyranylphosphine oxides (III). The thiopyranyl (Vb), (Ve), and selenopyranyl analogues (VIIb) and (VIIe) are prepared in the same manner.
