酸素固溶強化による高強度チタン粉末焼結材の創製

Abstract: Ti-6Al-4V (64Ti) 900 MPa [1][2][3][4][5] 14 % (V) 64Ti V Nb [6][7][8][9] 33 at.% [10][11][12] 99. The applications of Ti and its alloys are limited to high-performance products because of expensive cost and poor plastic formability. In this study, pure Ti powder was consolidated by using spark plasma sintering (SPS), warm compaction and cold compaction, respectively. The mechanical properties of the hot-extruded powder metallurgy (P/M) pure Ti materials were evaluated in order to develop a cost-effective proce… Show more

“…It is known that oxygen atoms are dissociated from TiO 2 particles by thermal decomposition during sintering. 2) The diffusion of oxygen atoms into the titanium was investigated. It is expected that oxygen atoms thermally decompose from TiO 2 particles during the sintering process and diffuse into the Ti matrix.…”

“…ubiquitous alloying elements). 1,2) Titanium alloys exhibit a remarkable improvement in strength even with small additions of oxygen, an interstitial solid solution element in Ti. Although the elongation to failure decreases with increasing the oxygen addition, it has been confirmed that this effect approaches a limit at approximately 0.1 mass% O content.…”

“…The hardness of titanium ranges within about 120-300 HV depending on impurities level [20]. In the reference [21], 99.5% purity titanium (the same purity titanium was used for composite preparation in this work) has the hardness of 265 HV. Higher hardness of both beryllium and titanium phases in the extruded composite can be explained by various hardening mechanisms during extrusion.…”

“…Zirconium (Zr) has good biocompatibility and 100% solubility with titanium [4,5], which are interesting as substitutional element for strengthening implant titanium alloy. Oxygen, are interstitial solid solution element to titanium, has high strengthen ability to titanium alloy [6]. Although more than seven decades have passed, the high cost of titanium still limits its usage.…”
