The purpose of this study was to clarify the extent to which the utility of the presence and use of greenery in the living environment affects selfrated health in comparison with the subjects' personal characteristics, health status, activity status, and social participation status. The research method employed a stochastic choice model with a discrete dependent variable, and an ordinal logit model with self-rated health as the objective variable and personal characteristics, health status, activity status, social participation status, green presence utility, and green use utility as the marginal effects were calculated to clarify the relationship between the two.
