Abstract

Recently, the Egyptian government has announced sustainability as the sin quo for any development plans on all the governmental sectors. The Egyptian urban development sector has been the main target concerning the ability to introduce sustainability aiming to minimize the negative impacts of the sector. Although, the government plans to introduce sustainability the achieved development is still existing negative impacts especially on the environmental dimension. The situation urges for a new approach that bare the ability to satisfy the development of the sector while maintaining and preserving the environmental assets of the developed urban areas.
