Abstract

This article describes a very important problem in pediatric dentistry - a rational treatment of teeth caries lesions under general anesthesia. It is carried out in the maxillofacial department of YSMU “Muratsan” hospital complex by the medical staff of YSMU Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics and the 4th University Stomatological Polyclinic. Here is presented the experience of many years of work as a result of which the number of cured children in 2012 was 18 and then it reached to 1617 by the end of 2021. Various methods of play therapy and behavior management are prospective directions of pediatric dentistry, which will help children adapt to dental interventions and avoid the treatment under the general anesthesia in the future.
