Abstract

The purpose of the study is to characterize the main challenges facing the tourism and hotel business: the conditions for the functioning of security in the wartime region. It has been proven that tourism and hospitality constitute two industries that are often interconnected, and both face unique problems and challenges under martial law. It has been determined that tourism activities in wartime focus on providing a security environment for the continuation of their activities in conditions of extremely difficult external circumstances. It is characterized that the military situation in Ukraine has a significant impact on the overall stability of the country, which is a key factor for tourist attractiveness. The unpredictability of the security situation may deter potential tourists and investors. The main problems of creating a security environment in the field of tourism and hotel business in Ukraine are highlighted. It has been determined that the impact of martial law on the hotel business in Ukraine is especially noticeable due to the significant increase in the number of internally displaced persons from the eastern regions of the country. Tourism businesses can use their marketing and communication channels, such as websites, social media and other platforms, to disseminate reliable and up-to-date information about events in Ukraine. The main challenges facing the modern tourism industry and hotel business in Ukraine due to the introduction of martial law are presented. It has been proven that ensuring economic security for tourism enterprises and the hotel business in Ukraine under martial law is a complex task that requires an integrated approach.
