Show more

“…As can be observed, the alloy consists of nanocrystals with the size of 40-100 nm. These results are in very good accordance with the AFM data obtained for the Ni-Zn electrodeposited coatings in [21]. It is known that nickel and its alloys are capable of forming hydrides, which leads not only to hydrogen embrittlement of the resulting coatings, affecting their anticorrosion properties, but also to a change in their electrochemical activity.…”

“…The energy dispersive X-ray technique showed the presence of Zn and Ni in the electrodeposited coating, and the amount of zinc in the coating is four times that of nickel. These data are in a good accordance with the results of a galvanostatic behavior of the electrolytic coating in 2 M NaOH and with XRD analysis [21], which confirmed the presence of nickel and zinc metals, as well as intermetallic phases of NiZn ( 1 -phase) and Ni 5 Zn 21 (-phase) in the coating electrodeposited from ammonia electrolyte.…”
