Abstract:The article discusses the pathogenetic and clinical aspects of gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) in patients with a novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The possibility of direct interaction of the coronavirus with the receptors of the angiotensinconverting enzyme 2 (ACE-2) of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract with the development of its damage and subsequent bleeding has been shown.
