Abstract:Evolution of the approach to assessing ionizing radiation effects on living organisms is briefly discussed in this paper. Using the example of Black Sea hydrobionts, possibility of applying the G. G. Polikarpov conceptual radiochemoecological model of chronic action zonality of ionizing irradiation dose rates in nature to assess ecological exposure of technogenic radioisotopes ionizing radiation on aquatic biota was shown.
