Causes of the formation of dislocation etch pits of different shape and size on (100) faces of cesium iodide crystals by an etchant composed from 25-35 mg/l CuCl, * 2 H,O i n 96% ethanol are studied. It is shown that one of the reasons of the change in the morphology of etch pits is the segregation of excessive iodine at dislocations.Die Ursachen fur die Bildung von Versetzungsatzgruben verschiedener Form und GroDe auf den {100}-Flachen von CsJ-Kristallen mit Hilfe eines Atzmittels aus 25-35 mg/l CuC1,. 2 H,O in 96%igem Athanol wurden untersucht. Es wird gezeigt, da13 einer der Griinde fur die Bnderung der Morphologie der Atzgruben die Segregation von iiberschiissigem Jod an den Versetzungen ist.
