Abstract

In the paper, the sources that outline the timeframe for the marriage of the Serbian heir to the throne, and then King Stefan Radoslav and Anna Doukaina, the daughter of Theodore I Doukas, the ruler of the Epirote state, are again subjected to criticism. The dynamic political and ecclesiastical circumstances that preceded the event are also taken into consideration in order to better understand the reason for the marriage and the time of its realization.
