Abstract:CuO nanoparticles obtained in a low-pressure arc discharge plasma followed by annealing in an oxygen atmosphere at 500°C were studied by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The formation of irregularly shaped nanoparticles in the size range of 5–30 nm was found. The Rietveld refinement confirmed the formation of a monoclinic CuO phase with an average crystallite size of ~21 nm. The temperature dependences of the magnetization and permittivity of CuO nanoparticles have been studied. They sho… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
